- About us
Regiscope has been in the business of documenting financial transactions with photographic images since 1957. It became world famous by using a patented split-lens technology to record a picture of a person's face and the document associated with it - typically a check or driver's license - on photographic film. Over 150,000 film-based units were sold and it became the standard for personnel identification for many industries.
In 2001 Regiscope introduced a digital line of systems which does what the film based cameras do, only better. Crystal clear color images of faces, ID's and documents are encrypted and recorded in the system's database for ease of retrieval and long-term storage. Regiscope supports a wide-range of peripheral equipment including license readers, document and barcode scanners and badge printers. Recent developments include support for mobile computing devices and Internet Protocol (IP) video cameras. Regiscope Systems can be easily networked together and managed remotely via our ImageSecureTM architecture, and connected to our secure, high availability datacenter to ensure reliable back-up and recovery.
