Lufthansa Cargo Flies with Cargo Cam

Since the 90's, Lufthansa Cargo in New York has included Regiscope’s Cargo Cam digital imaging technology in  its JFK facility to secure and strengthen the supply chain as part of  its risk management initiatives.  Starting with film based cameras and moving to all-digital systems has allowed Lufthansa’s operation to register transactions in a seamless manner while limiting manual procedures, speeding administrative processes and enhancing productivity.

Truck driver identification and registration provides accountability for site access, and matches individuals and companies to a specific shipment or series of shipments at a particular date and time.  This association process is used by both Lufthansa Cargo and its partners to track shipment movements, register authorized persons as part of a secure supply chain protocol and append documents to form a complete digital record of every transaction.
