Construction companies managing large construction projects need to manage the ingress and egress of their employees and contractors accessing the site, for both accountability and security purposes. The checking of ID badges alone isn't enough. Comparing badges to a back end database to confirm the account status of the employee or contractor is necessary, and needs to be done in a quick and efficient manner.

Regiscope Solution: The Regiscope Visitor Cam system quickly adds employee and contractor information to the system database via a driver license reader (sensitive personal information may be omitted from the database) while simultaneously verifying the validity of the driver license for security purposes. A comparison check of the Specially Designated Nationals watch-list is an optional feature for an increased level of security. Photos are also quickly added to the database, and ingress and egress history records are maintained. Once registered in the system, bar-coded color ID badges are automatically printed for each employee and contractor. Handheld devices used by the security guards at entry points scan the barcode on the ID badges and pull up the employee's photo and status, for a quick confirmation of their validity. A press of the OK button on the screen records their entry or exit from the construction site in the system database. The web-based reporting function allows access to reports, photos, and activities in real time from anywhere in the world. Database records can be maintained locally, or for added security and reliability, on Regiscope's "Secure High Availability" servers.
